See What Bo Derek Had to Say about Her Relationship with 18-Year Partner John Corbett in a Recent In

Actress Bo Derek was interviewed by “Fox News” recently where she opened up about her nearly 20-year relationship with her partner, actor John Corbett.

Bo Derek, 63, has been with John Corbett, 59, since 2002 when they started dating. She explained how they’ve managed to stay together for so long attributing it to “just an attraction, a comfort.”

Another thing that kept their flames burning for each other was that he “makes me laugh all the time.” The actress also described him as someone who was full of life and joy.

FINDING CORBETT ATTRACTIVE

She shared how she became attracted to him then and still felt the same way today. The actress revealed how they took things a day at a time and credited that as the main reason they were still together.

WHY THEY ARE NOT MARRIED

Derek elaborated on how at the moment it hadn't happened for them. In a previous interview with the “Huffington Post” in 2016, her partner said the success of their relationship was because they hadn’t gotten married.

LOSING HER HUSBAND

Before dating Corbett, the actress was married to John Derek, an actor-director and mentor, since 1976. He sadly passed away aged 71 in 1998 from congestive heart failure.

AN AGENT HOOKED THEM UP

Corbett started dating Derek after they were introduced by a Hollywood agent, Norby Walters, who decided to play matchmaker. Early in 2002, found himself with no date for an Oscar party which Walters was hosting.

MEETING ON THE “TODAY” SHOW

The agent offered to find Corbett a date as he’d disclosed he wasn’t seeing anyone at the time. He met Derek while she was on “Today” discussing her appearance on "Sharknado 3."

Corbett happened to be hanging out on the set and she liked him instantly.
