Lauv and Anne-Marie release music video for 'f*ck, i'm lonely'

Lauv and Anne-Marie have unveiled the music video for their collaboration, ‘fuck, i’m lonely’.

Shot in two locations just outside of Los Angeles, the visual begins with a block of apartments which focuses on different people in separate rooms, including Lauv and Anne-Marie. Whilst everyone seems to be living their lives individually, it’s clear that there’s a connection between the singers despite being in different rooms.

Not only are their rooms the only ones which are lit with a neon light, but when Lauv and Anne-Marie go to touch the lamps in their rooms, it causes a reaction in the other’s apartment. Later on, the pair have an awkward run-in in a supermarket before we see Lauv looking longingly at Anne-Marie in a closing lift.

Speaking about the music video, Anne-Marie told ET Online: “I can’t wait for people to see it, I just think it’s so cool and so different. People are lonely but there is always someone there and I feel that’s what this music video is about.”

Lauv added, “I feel like there’s always someone there but you don’t realize it. A lot of times we end up being isolated by our own choices.”

Since the track’s release, it has already notched up just short of an impressive 30 million streams on Spotify. It forms part of the forthcoming soundtrack to season three of 13 Reasons Why, why is released tomorrow.
