Prince George has a new plush pal! The royal tot, 9 months, was presented with a wombat stuffed animal during his three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia with his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton

According to the Duke of Cambridge, George has become attached to the toy, telling a crowd on one of the family’s final days in Australia, Thursday, April 24, “We go away with wonderful memories, and George goes away with his cuddly wombat, which he has taken to chewing so lovingly.”

The young prince’s “cuddly wombat,” which was presented to him by Australia’s Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove, is traveling back to the UK with the royal family. As the threesome boarded a plane in Australia on Friday, April 25, handlers were seen loading the oversized stuffed animal onto the jet, along with the Duchess’ hat boxes.

It’s been a big trip for William and Kate’s only child. His international travel included a trip to a bilby enclosure at an Australian zoo, a playdate with little ones from New Zealand, and a couple of marriage proposals from mothers offering up their daughters to the adorable royal.
